Professional RTK GNSS positioning for everyday fieldwork
The SOUTH INNO7 is a versatile RTK GNSS receiver developed for land surveyors, construction teams, civil engineers, GIS professionals and other users who need accurate coordinates in the field. It combines multi-constellation satellite tracking, tilt-compensated measurement, network connectivity and an internal UHF radio in one rugged receiver.
It can be used for topographic surveys, construction layout, road and bridge work, utility mapping, control surveys, earthworks, boundary measurement and accurate GIS data capture. The receiver is suitable for crews working through an RTK correction network as well as teams operating their own local base-and-rover system.
Reliable multi-constellation GNSS tracking
The 1,598-channel GNSS board is designed to track signals from GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, QZSS and other supported regional systems. Access to more satellites and frequencies can improve satellite availability and help the receiver maintain a solution when working near trees, structures or other partial obstructions.
Under suitable field conditions, the INNO7 provides specified RTK accuracy of 8 mm + 1 ppm horizontally and 15 mm + 1 ppm vertically. In practical use, this makes it suitable for detailed surveying, setting out points, checking levels and collecting accurate site information. As with every GNSS receiver, final performance depends on the correction source, satellite visibility, multipath, baseline length and local conditions.
Measure efficiently with a tilted pole
The built-in IMU supports tilt compensation up to 60° and does not require traditional bubble-based calibration. After a short movement-based initialization, operators can measure while the pole is tilted instead of stopping to level it precisely for every point.
This is particularly useful beside walls, at building corners, near fences, around stockpiles and in busy construction areas. It also reduces the physical effort involved in keeping the pole vertical throughout a long survey. The IMU is designed to resist magnetic interference, making it more practical around vehicles, steel structures and construction equipment.
Flexible network RTK and UHF workflows
The SOUTH INNO7 supports NTRIP-based network RTK corrections through its cellular modem and can also receive or transmit corrections through the internal UHF radio. This gives survey teams the flexibility to use a CORS or commercial correction network where coverage is available, or establish a local base station for projects in more remote areas.
The integrated radio supports commonly used correction formats and offers selectable power levels up to 3 W. The published typical operating range is up to 15 km with the manufacturer’s Farlink protocol, although actual range will vary with antenna setup, terrain, interference, obstructions and local radio regulations.
Clear receiver control in the field
A 1.54-inch colour touchscreen allows operators to view receiver status and adjust common settings directly on the unit. Visual indicators, voice guidance and controller-based receiver management make it easier to check the working mode, satellite tracking, communications and power status without interrupting the job.
Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC support simplify communication with compatible field controllers and mobile devices. The receiver can also broadcast its own Wi-Fi hotspot, allowing supported settings and status information to be accessed through its web interface.
Storage and power for full working days
The receiver includes 64 GB of internal storage for static observations and field data. Automatic cycle storage can remove older files when capacity is reached, reducing the risk of a survey stopping because the internal memory is full. Data can also be transferred through USB and supported wireless connections.
The internal rechargeable battery is specified for approximately 12 hours in rover mode and 10 hours in base mode under the manufacturer’s test conditions. Actual operating time depends on radio power, cellular use, temperature, screen activity and receiver configuration.
Rugged construction for demanding sites
The magnesium-alloy housing is rated IP68 for protection against dust and water ingress. The receiver is also designed to withstand a two-metre pole drop onto concrete under the stated test conditions. This makes the INNO7 suitable for regular outdoor use on construction sites, infrastructure projects and surveying work in changing weather.
Who is the SOUTH INNO7 designed for?
The INNO7 is a practical choice for surveyors carrying out detail surveys and setting out, construction crews positioning foundations and utilities, engineers checking site geometry, and GIS teams collecting assets with centimetre-level coordinates. Drone operators can also use accurately surveyed ground control and check points to support mapping and photogrammetry projects.
- Topographic and cadastral surveying
- Construction layout and machine-control preparation
- Road, bridge and infrastructure measurement
- Utility, pipeline and asset mapping
- Ground control points for drone mapping
Buying and support from Global GPS Systems
Global GPS Systems can help buyers configure the SOUTH INNO7 for network RTK, base-and-rover surveying or a mixed field workflow. Selecting the correct controller, field software, radio settings, antenna and correction service is important for reliable results. Practical product support also helps teams set up coordinate systems, connect to an NTRIP service and prepare the receiver for local working conditions.
