Advanced Distance Measurement with TOF Technology

The LS74A utilizes advanced Time of Flight (TOF) technology to precisely measure distances by calculating the time difference between the emission and return of a modulated laser pulse. When the laser emitter sends out a modulated pulse, an internal timer starts (t1). Upon reaching a target, part of the laser energy reflects back to the sensor. The timer stops (t2) as the LS74A receives the returning laser signal, allowing it to accurately calculate the distance between the sensor and the target object.

With a remarkable ranging accuracy of ±1 meter and a maximum distance capacity of up to 1200 meters, the LS74A is highly suited for applications requiring precise distance measurement.
