A complete RTK GNSS rover set for field surveying

The a-GEO L300 Rover Set provides the main equipment required to begin working with an RTK correction network or a compatible local GNSS base station. It is suitable for land surveyors, construction professionals, civil engineers, utility contractors and GIS field teams that need accurate coordinates for measurement, setting out and asset collection.

The package combines the a-GEO L300 GNSS receiver with an a-GEO S50III Android data collector, SurPro field software, a survey pole and a controller bracket. Bringing these components together in one rover set provides a practical field configuration for users who do not already own a suitable controller, surveying pole or data-collection application.

1408-channel multi-constellation GNSS receiver

The L300 uses 1408 tracking channels and supports signals from GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, QZSS, SBAS and IRNSS. Multi-frequency and multi-constellation tracking gives the receiver access to a broad selection of positioning signals throughout the working day.

In open conditions with a suitable correction source, the receiver is designed for centimetre-level RTK positioning. This makes the rover set suitable for construction stakeout, topographic measurement, road and utility work, site documentation, control-point checks and accurate GIS asset collection. GNSS performance will still depend on the surrounding environment, satellite visibility and correction quality.

Measure points with the pole tilted

The integrated nine-axis IMU provides calibration-free tilt compensation up to 60°. Instead of carefully levelling the pole for every observation, the operator can place the pole tip on the required point while holding the receiver at an angle.

This is useful when measuring beside buildings, underneath site equipment, next to fences, at excavation edges or on uneven ground. It can also make routine point collection and stakeout more comfortable because less time is spent centring the pole bubble before each measurement.

Connect directly to an RTK correction network

An integrated multi-band 4G modem allows the L300 to receive correction data from an NTRIP or CORS network using a Nano SIM card. Where mobile coverage and a compatible correction subscription are available, the receiver can work as a network RTK rover without requiring a local base receiver on the project site.

The built-in Wi-Fi connection can also be used to transfer correction data through a compatible hotspot. This gives crews additional flexibility when the SIM card in the receiver is not the preferred internet connection.

Integrated UHF radio for base and rover projects

The integrated 410–470 MHz UHF radio enables the L300 to receive corrections from a compatible GNSS base station. This can be useful on remote projects, closed construction sites or locations where mobile internet and correction-network coverage are unavailable or unreliable.

Radio performance depends on factors such as terrain, antenna height, transmission power, interference, selected frequency and local radio regulations. The base and rover must use compatible radio settings and correction formats.

S50III controller and SurPro field software

The included a-GEO S50III data collector gives the operator a dedicated Android device for controlling the receiver and managing survey work in the field. Mounted to the supplied survey pole with the controller bracket, it creates an integrated rover setup that can be carried between points and used throughout the survey.

SurPro software supports the practical stages of GNSS fieldwork, including creating projects, connecting to the receiver, configuring coordinate systems, collecting points and completing stakeout tasks. Surveyors can use the controller to view the current position status and record field data without returning to an office computer between measurements.

Flexible surveying and data workflows

In addition to network RTK and UHF rover operation, the L300 supports static observations and PPK data recording. Raw GNSS data can be stored for later processing when real-time corrections are not available or when the project requires an additional post-processed workflow.

The receiver supports commonly used GNSS data and correction formats, including RTCM, RINEX and NMEA. An internal Web UI allows users to check receiver status, configure working modes, manage communication settings, download data and perform system management through a connected browser.

Built for regular site use

The L300 receiver has a magnesium-alloy housing and an IP67 environmental rating. It is designed to resist dust, rain and temporary immersion under the specified test conditions. The receiver weighs approximately 1 kg, keeping the complete pole setup manageable during longer working days.

Its internal 6800 mAh lithium-ion battery supports USB Type-C charging. Published receiver operating times are up to 12 hours in rover mode, although actual runtime varies with temperature, mobile-data use, radio use and receiver configuration.

Choosing the correct RTK configuration

The rover set requires a source of RTK corrections to achieve centimetre-level real-time positioning. This may be an NTRIP correction subscription, a regional CORS service or a compatible GNSS base station. Access to a correction network is not automatically available in every region and should be confirmed before field deployment.
