Photogrammetry for inaccessible points
The integrated photogrammetry camera works with the receiver’s inertial navigation system and a compatible Android controller. It allows users to determine points from captured images rather than placing the pole directly on every feature.
This is useful when the target is difficult, inconvenient or unsafe to occupy. Examples include building corners, façades, trenches, road edges, stockpiles and points behind fences or other obstacles. The function can also help crews gather additional detail without repeatedly repositioning the receiver.
60° IMU tilt compensation
The built-in IMU supports measurements with the pole tilted by up to 60°. Spherefix states positioning accuracy of less than 2 cm for the tilt function. In everyday use, this means the operator does not need to level the pole precisely for every observation.
Tilt compensation can speed up topographic surveys and construction checks while making it easier to measure beside walls, underneath vehicles, along embankments or close to other obstructions. It also reduces the physical effort of keeping the pole centred and vertical during long working days.

The SP30Pro includes 4G mobile-network connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and an integrated 5W LoRa radio. These communication options allow the receiver to work with network RTK corrections or a compatible local base station, depending on the project setup and available infrastructure.
The integrated radio can be useful on sites where mobile coverage is limited or where a survey team operates its own base-and-rover system. Bluetooth and Wi-Fi provide connections to field controllers, software and supporting devices without adding unnecessary cables.
Designed for demanding field conditions
The receiver uses a magnesium-alloy housing and meets IP68 protection requirements. It is designed to withstand dust, water exposure and the knocks associated with daily survey and construction work. Spherefix also specifies resistance to a 1.5 metre pole drop.
A 7.4 V 10,000 mAh internal battery provides more than 24 hours of operation in rover mode. This gives most crews enough capacity for a full working day without changing batteries or stopping to recharge. The receiver weighs approximately 1 kg and has a compact circular housing that can be mounted on a standard survey pole.
