South Galaxy G3 Rover Set Product Review
The South Galaxy G3 Receiver
The brand new South Galaxy G3 with more channels than ever. With this GNSS receiver that weights only 790 grams and with dimensions of 130mm wide, 130mm long and 80mm high, it’s one of the smallest and strongest we have. The G3 has a lower power consumption and with a built-in 6800mAh Li-ion battery it can continuously work for 15 hours. And if your battery dies, it will be fully charged in just 3 hours. With the intergrated IMU of 60 degrees you can survey in all enviroments. The G3 is also packaged with South “Beaver” super radio which is more power saving. The “Farlink” protocol it uses has a larger bandwidth, up to 8 kilometers. The combination of Beaver and Farlink gives it better performance on signal capturing.

South H6 Data Collector
H6 is South’s newest generation professional Android controller. With its Android 8.1 operating system this data collector is lightning fast. The full QWERTY keyboard with separate keys for 26 letters and numbers makes input in the field faster for most surveyors, and meanwhile, benefits them with higher efficiency and improved productivity as well as being able to work well in the rain. This is where touchscreen tablets often fail.
What can you expect with the South H6!
GPS Survey pole
Make it easy to carry by mounting everything on a GPS Survey Pole. Recommended length is over 2 metres to minimise interference to your GNSS receiver and improve performance.
Data collector bracket
This is needed to ensure that your data collector stays firmly in place. It prevents it from being damaged unnecessarily and you don’t have to hold it in your hand all day.
